BarterDayz, is the ultimate app for trading and connecting with others! If you do not see any other items / services listed chances are that you're the first person to bring BarterDayz to your town. The more people you invite to join you, the more options you will create.
IS THE APP FREE?
Yes the BarterDayz App has chosen the Freemium model. It is Free to download and use in a limited capacity. Premium features are available in the Premium version. Users are able to enjoy the App for free in a limited capacity before choosing if / when they upgrade.
WHAT IS BARTER?
Barter is not a new concept, the history of bartering dates all the way back to 6000 BC. BarterDayz App is bringing grassroots barter and trade back to the forefront of peoples daily lives with a modern twist.
HOW DO I BARTER?
In trade, barter is a system of exchange in which participants in a transaction directly exchange goods or services for other goods or services without using a medium of exchange, such as money. (Wikipedia).
Using the BarterDayz App:
1. You set up a profile.
2. List goods and services you wish to offer up for barter / trade with your local community.
3. You set the barter value of the good or service (Set price or per hour)
4. Search for goods and services: Once you have located an item or service you would like, you select "Barter Now" and begin offering the goods and services you have listed in exchange.
I HAVE CREATED A LISTING WHY CANT I SEE IT ON THE MAP?
Your own personal goods and services are not visible on the Map they are only visible in your "My Listings" section of your profile.
Yes, once you have sent them an offer you can select to CHAT with the other person to finalise the details of your barter / trade with them before officially completing the barter.
CAN I CONTACT THE OTHER PERSON DIRECTLY TO DISCUSS?
Yes, once you have sent an offer to another user you can contact one and other via the internal messaging feature to discuss the terms of the trade before it is finalised.
I HAVE ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE WITH THE APP WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO REPORT IT?

This will provide all the necessary information the developers will need to identify the issue and hopefully provide a solution. There is an option in the form to attach any screen shots, or screen recording you have taken to help show the issue. These are not compulsory, they are just very beneficial to the developers as they can see exactly what you are describing. Once the form has been received the developers can review the issue and once we have any information to pass on, we will forward it through to you via this email.
WILL THERE BE MORE PREMIUM FEATURES ADDED?
YES! BarterDayz has big plans for the future! We are working through a development plan / rollout of more Premium Features that will enhance the user experience and strengthen your local bartering options and network in your local town. WILL THE APP BE AVAILABLE TO OTHER COUNTRIES?

IS THE APP AVILABLE ON ANDROID AND APPLE?
BarterDayz is available on both Apple and Google devices through the App Store and Google Play.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE PHONE NUMBER?
The App requests a Mobile Phone number during the verification process to help combat Spam and Multiple Accounts, as a phone number can only be used once. Phone number are not as simple to acquire as email addresses, therefore making it harder for spam accounts to simply create multiple accounts here.
Information such as phone device, this information is captured automatically through the use of google or the Apple stores when you download the App. It becomes part of the analytics, and is also used to help determine things like which devices are seeing crashes etc in the google analytics. Google and Apple are Third Party Providers in this instance and as an example, this type of information is required by them to confirm you are able to receive the App to your device.
Much of this kind of information is already being sent to them every single day through your regular phone use, and use of just about every other application you would use in your day to day. As we are using Google and Apple, who automatically collect this information, we must disclose that this occurs.
The personal information required is not sold, or used for anything other than ensuring you are able to use the App and all of it's functions. The personal Information we obtain is no more than necessary to ensure we are both compliant with legislation and able to provide a user the best possible experience.
